Prayer
Observe Good Prayer and Train Your Heart
Attention is a skill. A simple evening examen to rebuild it in ten minutes.
We train our eyes for design, for sport, for craft. Prayer asks for a trained heart instead: one that notices where God was in an ordinary day.
The examen is ten minutes. Sit still. Thank God for one gift. Walk through the day hour by hour and notice where you felt close to Him and where you drifted. Speak about both, plainly. Rest one minute in silence.
Do it for a week. You will start catching grace in real time, not just in review. That is the whole point of training.
